Qualifying courses are held at the Aqaba Center for Maritime Education and Training accredited, and an eligibility certificate issued by the Jordan Maritime Commission is issued after passing the requirements for each rank, which include written and oral exams. Public safety courses and the mandatory courses stipulated in the STCW78 Agreement and its amendments are held periodically and continuously, according to the requirements of the Jordan Maritime Authority, and by specialized trainers with practical and scientific experience. Courses are held to renew qualification certificates on a continuous basis for all ranks and all Jordanian qualification certificates and qualification certificates issued by the member states of the Convention that are in the White List of the International Maritime Organization. Bachelor of Maritime Transport Technology approved by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research and the Jordan Maritime Authority, which qualifies the student to obtain a navigational shift officer certificate after passing 12 months of naval service on board ships. A marine engineering diploma approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Jordan Maritime Commission, which qualifies the student to obtain an engineering shift officer certificate after passing the comprehensive exam and a 12-month naval service on board ships. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Jordan Maritime Authority, which qualifies the student to obtain an ETO electrical technical officer certificate after passing 12 months of marine service on board ships.Qualifying Courses
